About Lesley
I help organizations execute strategy through people. I help leaders navigate organizational change, complexity, and people risk.
Over the course of my career, I have partnered with executives and leadership teams to guide organizations through periods of significant transformation, uncertainty, and growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped leaders navigate complex workplace challenges, from health and safety and accommodations to remote and hybrid work, without resulting legal claims. Since then, I have continued to provide strategic counsel and practical solutions to enable organizational transformation and support business initiatives in an evolving legal landscape. I work with leaders to move the organization forward with clarity, confidence, and alignment.
I am a senior in-house attorney and organizational strategist with deep expertise in labor and employment law. I advise leaders on how to align people, culture, and risk management with business objectives, translating complex legal and organizational issues into practical, actionable strategies. I have built and led high-performing teams and transformed legal functions into trusted strategic partners that enable business execution rather than simply react to problems.
Prior to moving in-house, I practiced at Venable LLP, representing organizations across industries in labor and employment litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitration, and workplace counseling matters. That experience sharpened my ability to anticipate risk, navigate complexity, and help leaders make sound decisions in high-stakes environments.
Beyond my legal work, I am passionate about leadership development, resilience, storytelling, and helping people navigate growth and change. I speak frequently on workplace culture, leadership, resilience, career development, and labor and employment topics. I am also a Certified Wayfinder Coach and published author.
I believe deeply in the power of storytelling to create connection and change. I served as editor of the anthology Own Your Story: Empower. Connect. Create Change., which became an Amazon bestseller in multiple categories. Hearing from readers who found the stories empowering and inspiring has been one of the most meaningful parts of that experience.
Service and community leadership are also central to who I am. I served for many years on the Board of Directors for the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing, including as Board President from 2023–2025.
On a personal note, I am a wife and the mother of three boys (two of which are twins).
